Microblading vs nano brows

Both create hair-like brow strokes. One uses a hand blade, the other a machine needle. How microblading and nano brows compare in Wilmington, DE.

Microblading and nano brows both aim for the same result: brows that look like real hair. The difference is the tool, and that changes who each one works best for.

Microblading

Microblading uses a small hand tool lined with fine needles. The artist draws each stroke by hand, placing pigment just under the surface of the skin.

  • Very natural, crisp hair strokes.
  • Works best on normal to dry skin.
  • Usually lasts around one to two years before a refresh.

Nano brows

Nano brows use a machine with a single, very fine needle to place each stroke. Because it is a machine, the strokes can be very fine and consistent.

  • Hair strokes that can be finer than microblading.
  • Often gentler on the skin, with less trauma per stroke.
  • Often a better choice for oily or mature skin, where blade strokes can blur.
  • Many people find the results last a bit longer.

Which is right for you?

If you have normal to dry skin and want the classic hand-drawn look, microblading is a great fit. If your skin is oily, sensitive or more mature, ask about a machine technique like nano brows.

The right answer depends on your skin, your natural brows and how long you want results to last. A consultation in person is the best way to decide.
