Nano brows vs powder brows
Hair strokes or a soft shaded finish? How nano brows and powder brows compare, and which suits your skin and style.
Nano brows and powder brows are both done with a machine, so they are often mixed up. They create very different looks.
Nano brows: individual hair strokes
Nano brows use a single fine needle to draw strokes that look like individual brow hairs. Up close, they look like your own brows, just fuller and more even.
- Best if you want a natural, no-makeup brow.
- Great for filling sparse spots and gaps.
- Works on most skin types, including oily skin.
Powder brows: a soft shaded look
Powder brows use tiny dots of pigment to build up a soft shade, like brow powder or pencil. The front is usually lighter and the tail more defined.
- Best if you like the look of filled-in brows.
- Very forgiving on oily skin.
- Often lasts longer than stroke-based brows.
Can you combine them?
Yes. Combination brows use hair strokes at the front and shading through the body and tail. You get a natural front with more definition overall.
How to choose
Think about how you wear your brows now. If you never fill them in, nano strokes will look most like you. If you fill them in every day, powder brows will feel familiar.
